Wunderlich Hires Scollard To Head Institutional Equity Trading Effort

(MEMPHIS, TN / May 11, 2015) -- Wunderlich, a leading full-service investment firm headquartered in Memphis, today announced Brian Scollard has joined the firm’s Equity Capital Markets division (ECM) as Managing Director to lead the institutional equity trading operation. A 15-year industry veteran, Scollard was previously a Director of Institutional Trading with Janney Montgomery.

Scollard will be located in the firm’s New York ECM office which recently moved to 150 East 52nd Street. He brings an extensive equity trading background to this new role with Wunderlich. At Janney Montgomery, he was senior equity trader for the Technology, Media, Telecommunications and Healthcare sectors, responsible for all market making, capital commitment, risk management and executions for these sectors. He also spent 10 years with Knight Capital Group where he helped establish the firm’s dedicated international trading desk and later became director of international institutional equity trading covering Canadian, Latin American, South African and domestic materials equities. Scollard is a graduate of the College of Holy Cross where he continues to serve as a career advisor to students.

Wunderlich’s Equity Capital Markets division encompasses 8 sales traders, 18 institutional sales people, and, 17 senior research analysts covering 275 companies across five key industry sectors: Consumer, Diversified Industrials, Energy, Financials, and Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
